Dow Realty sponsored the inaugural Branford Chamber of Commerce “Celebrate Success” event at Woodwinds in Branford. The extended economic downturn can obscure the fine work that many companies do to survive and even thrive in a tough market. We felt it was important to shine a light on the indomitable spirit of several notable companies in the Shoreline region.
12 Chamber companies were recognized for finding new ways to do business, creating new markets and using technology to prepare for the future: Casmed, Branford Building Supplies, The Hearth at Gardenside, La Cuisine, The Wilson Arms Co., University of New Haven, Pat Munger Construction, Guilford Savings Bank, VNA Community Healthcare, Premier Suburu, Alcoa and Van Wilgen’s Garden Center.
Keynote speaker Eric J. George, associate counsel for the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, detailed the effects of health care reform on businesses and families.
