Safeway, a major North American supplier of construction scaffolding and associated engineering services, has purchased a 29,000 SF building at 188 Bradley Street in New Haven to locate its Connecticut operations. Dow Realty and Fischer Real Estate represented the seller, A&H Estra, LLC in the $1 million deal.
Safeway has operations in 41 US states and all major Canadian provinces. It is a leader in the design, construction and management of construction scaffolding systems for all types of projects, including major building and bridge work.

Woodbridge acquires its first CrossFit facility with the opening of CrossFit Gilded, located on 180 Amity Road. The newly established company provides individual and group work out programs designed to meet the needs of every member regardless of current fitness level or experience.
CrossFit Gilded has leased the portion of the building know as 7 Seldon Street, which contains 3,840 square feet. Harley Hiscock III of Dow Realty Company was the sole broker in the transaction.

Vivant Solar provides complete solutions for bringing solar generated electricity into your home including consultation, installation, performance monitoring and maintenance.
Vivant Solar, represented by Jeff Dow of Dow Realty, leased 15,000 square feet at 50 Devine Street in North Haven to establish their initial footprint in the state.

Nataz Adventures in Eating has found a new and better location in North Branford for its innovative price fixed offerings. Nataz is a long running restaurant on the Shoreline with an established history of providing high quality cuisine at reasonable prices.
The restaurant is now ensconced in 4,065 SF of prime retail space in Central Plaza at the intersection of Routes 80 and 139. Along with curb appeal improvements, Nataz also now realizes better operations from being on city water and sewer systems. Nataz has already experienced increased business due to the move. A former engineer from Roche/454 Life Sciences and Ion Torrent/Life Technologies has started a new company – Tangen Biosciences, LLC – and has settled in Branford. Jeff Dow, representing Massey Properties, leased a 6,000 SF office building at 780 East Main Street in Branford to Tangen Biosciences for lab development and business purposes.
Tangen Bioscience has developed a highly accurate instrument that provides rapid nucleic acid detection in a format that does not require laboratory resources or highly skilled operators. This provides very accurate results in a simpler and lower cost fashion than existing commercial technologies. Further, the instrument is portable and can deliver results in the field without having to send specimens to a laboratory.

The Connecticut State Medical Society has leased 10,000 sq. ft. of prime office space at 110 Washington. Avenue in North Haven, CT. The Society has sold their former building at 127 Washington Avenue to Yale University. Jeff Dow of Dow Realty represented The Society.
The CT State Medical Society is a federation of 8 CT county medical associations, with a membership of more than 7,000 physicians. The aim of The Society is to provide its members with a collective voice. Jeff Dow represented both the building owner and Phoenix Song Biologicals in the transaction. The 4,650 square foot building was ideal for lease since it was fully fitted out for its new use.
